working in a start up and with zero marketing budget its challenging as well as fun.
while we are on a mission to beat the market leader the work on product front is catching steam and hence marketing has to catch speed.
We keep remembering that we are competing against well known brand names while ours is just born and has a long way to go before even people know a name such has minvesta exists..
Writing my experience after a recent trip to Delhi.
While i was in delhi Airport waiting for my boarding to Bangalore after my NDMC meeting....I noticed ”Outlook”- the magazine was distributing free sample of “Lounge Magazine” to all the people waiting at the airport lounge...
They had put up Racks from which one could pick up a copy...
I noticed that many of them who after reading left it on the chairs and then a new passenger would come and pick it up for reading...
It just struck me that i could make use of this as an opportunity to feature in the magazine!
I began placing the bookmarks carrying the product details and the company logo into the the Magazines...This i did for the magazines already lying around and moved ahead...guess the persons picking up the magazine would see our book mark....:)
Guess it would have bought visibility amongst the passenger there....and free ka branding bhi.

Every time I fly...I keep some bookmarks/brochures and place them in the front seat provision( where the safety instruction booklets are kept)....you never know whom it reaches
